Story: Travellers

There was a monk walking across the hills and he came across a traveller. And the traveller asked the monk “tell me how will I find the villagers in the village to which I’m travelling across the valley? “And the monk asked “tell me how did you find the villagers from the village you have just come from?” “Oh very difficult and unfriendly and I was very glad to leave.” The monk said “I think you will find the villagers much the same in the village where you are going.”
The next day, the monk was again walking across the hills and he came across another traveller. This traveller asked the same question – “how will I find the villagers in the village to which I’m travelling across the valley?” And again the monk asked “tell me how did you find the villagers from the village you have just come from?” The traveller said “oh very friendly, very welcoming, very generous and I didn’t want to leave” The monk said “I think you will find the villagers much the same in the village where you are going.”
